Thriving Culture
What actually changes a culture, and what just looks good on a slide.
Why I wrote it
I've spent the better part of two decades in boardrooms watching leadership teams spend real money on culture work that had no chance of working, and nobody in the room willing to say why.
Thriving Culture is that conversation. It argues that most culture problems get treated like a poster problem: fix the values, run the survey, tidy the comms. The real issue is whether people's basic psychological needs are actually being met in the room, every day, by the people leading them.
It draws on Transactional Analysis, the Enneagram, Functional Fluency, the Drama Triangle and the Empowerment Dynamic, and Daniel Kim's Core Cycle of Success, along with case work inside some of South Africa's largest financial services and hospitality brands, including a full customer experience case study.
No frameworks for their own sake. No motivational gloss. Just what I've seen work.
Who it's for
Executives and HR leaders who've run culture programmes and been disappointed. Managers who want a practical way to understand their people. Customer experience leads who suspect the next round of training won't fix it either.
